I bet you didn’t know that it is your olfactory that is what determines which of the scents sets your senses on fire! (To be honest.. neither did I until it was pointed out to me)
The olfactory is vital for the processing and perception of odour and it is located in the temporal lobe of the brain which is involved in organizing sensory input.
Trivial I know, but this is why to one person a particular scent can delight and disgust another. So whether you love earthy, zesty, sweet or fruity scents you have your olfactory to thank for your preferences.
